I observed a large (about 100 or so) American Robins "swirling" though my neighborhood and backyard this morning. They have been coming through for last few weeks, but this was the largest flock thus far. I also heard, not just their calls, buy their singing. I also observed some males "fighting" and trying to pair up with some females while they were singing. They may pair up down here and then when they migrate North, they already have a mate.
