I was out back doing some garden cleanup when from somewhere behind me I heard several American robins calling to one another. (I will also report this as a 'wave', as certainly there were at least three individuals.) I don't recall the link on this site to their different songs, but if I were pointed there I could narrow down what I heard more specifically:)

I just listened and what I heard both on February 17th and 18th in my backyard was a combination of "Whinny" and "Zeeup!"...both times the birds seemed to be about 50 yards behind me, high up in the trees. I was thrilled to hear them, as I was to be experiencing temps in the 70's. Spring really IS just around the corner!

Very similar observation to the day prior...heard multiple American robins singing while I was out cleaning up the back garden. Have been keeping the birdbath thawed but so far have been unable to lure them down...will continue to work on it!
