I noticed the red-wing in the morning. I have many bird feeders and I noticed that the red-wing perched and ate at my small seed feeder for more than an hour. He appeared to be ravenous. He flew off and came back just before dusk to eat at the sunflower feeder. I have not seen him today, 2/22/11.
