Wave was sighted in south side of Jacksonville, FL on Parental Home Road adjacent to Riverwood Nursing Home. Large property (maybe 5 acres) with numerous trees, oak, redbud, pine and palm. I estimated hundreds of robins passing overhead moving easterly. Flittering about in the trees were numerous others feeding. Curious though none were observed on the ground. I spotted one of the resident cats crouched on ground, keeping a watchful eye up in the branches. Is one cat able to spook out a whole flock of Robbins?
Last year I reported a very large wave observed on 1/21/10. Todays sighting was just about a month later than last year. Tough winter!
