Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 02/26/2011

Number: 1

Was a beautiful day for a walk to scout a pair of Red Tailed Hawks that I have recently seen once before today. The female, I believe, was roosting on a telephone pole watching my good friend get as close as possible but flew off to a grove of high trees to continue keeping her eye on us. Earlier I viewed a large nest of sticks on the edge of a woods near water/creek that was not previously there. There are two Horned Owls in the area as well, heard not long ago calling to one another but did not get a chance to see one/hear one today. Possible due to the time of day for my walk, 2 pm.
