Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/27/2011

Number: 1

This afternoon we saw our first female robins. It has been cold and snowy this week, but the weather warmed up today and the snow is disappearing. The birds were out enjoying the improved weather. We heard lots of robins singing as we started our walk and soon noticed the birds were hanging out in pairs in the trees, not singles as we saw a couple weeks ago. There are no signs of nests yet, so I guess they are just pairing up and deciding on where to settle for the summer.
