Driving downhill on a long section of Middletown Rd, I observed the Bald Eagle in the top of a large dead tree on the side of the road. My immediate reaction was to say, "Whoa"! We have eagles in Md, but I haven't seen one in this area before and I was surprised. I suppose it was because Pretty Boy Resevoir is nearby. When my car approached the tree, the eagle took off, breaking the branch it had been perched on in the process.
