We've had a wonderful warm, springlike day and the robins were EVERYWHERE! The main difference I noticed today is that the majority were on the ground in open grassy field and along the dirt road we walk near a drainage/ flood control canal. I'm guessing that they were looking for insects and worms. We even saw one big male robin taking a bath along the edge of the canal. Looked a bit chilly for that! No sign of nesting yet, but I'm watching the trees.
