Pileated woodpeckers drumming early this morning...mallards are back at local pond, and Canada geese, which stay here all winter, are splitting up into smaller groups. Numerous male bluebirds singing; lots of activity from downy woodpeckers, titmice, black-capped chickadees, house finches, cardinals, goldfinches.
