We saw 6 signs of emerging tulip bulbs. We saw three signs next to a planted tulip bulb that was cut open and painted black before planting. We saw another sign next to a tulip bulb that was wrapped in a fruit roll up before planting. We also saw signs next to our control area of planted tulip bulbs. We noticed these changes at 11:11 AM on March 4, 2011. The weather was chilly but we have been having warm spells for the past month. The temperature was 42.6 degrees F and 5.9 degrees C.
