Just south of the newly opened Ridgegate / Mainstreet road at Peoria, my husband and I have seen a male and female bald eagle that are obviously nesting in the cottonwood trees along the creek. This area is on the edge of suburban sprawl of both Lone Tree and Parker in Colorado, southeast of the intersection of I-25 and the Ridgegate exit.
First sighting of the male was at Lincoln and Oswego (a couple of miles north of the nest) on February 27, 2011.
