Hello,
On this warmer Saturday 3/5/11, we have had thousands (not an exaggeration) of Red-Winged Black Birds circling, on the land, in the trees, in the Lafayette/Franford area. I have never seen in my lifetime so many birds at one time!
They were all singing and chirping, flying in formations and swooping patterns; our entire neighborhood was in awe of this!
I wanted to report as to understand why this occurrence took place today. I hope this information is helpful to your research.
