Bald Eagle

Date: 03/06/2011

Number: 1

Nesting pair of bald eagles along Hwy 44, can easily be viewed with naked eye. Turtlebay.org has live feed - one can watch eagles on nest (have two eggs). These persistent parents fought CalTrans construction (CalTrans coned off the nest) to retain this favorite location (near Sacramento river, Shasta and Whiskeytown lakes). Beautiful!
