I'm late with this sighting. Four red-winged blackbirds showed up the morning of March 3 - a brilliant sunny day.

We have an area in the garden where we put seeds for winter, ground-feeding birds. The red wings (all males) showed up in a small apple tree, watched the other birds awhile, then came down - careful and skittery. (95% of our place is still covered with snow.)
