A while back our class planted 13 tulip bulbs. after lunch today we went to check on them. Two pointy two-inch-tall tulips had emerged. We wrote some adjectives to describe them: smooth-as-skin, plump, cone-shaped, sharp, curly, cute, reddish-green, small, pretty, shiny, slippery, beautiful, tiny, strong, silky, clean, short, leaves clasped together, glossy as nail polish. They are a couple of steps away from being full grown. It's like eleven more are in the race to sprout. When will they all emerge?
