Today Ms. Sire's third grade class, 3C, observed that 8 of 21 tulips have emerged! The tallest blooming tulip is 17 1/2 cms tall and the shortest is 6 cms tall. Students used thier sense of sight, touch and smell to come up with the following descriptive words; red, soft, tall and fuzzy leaves, smells minty, smooth petals, cold stems, silky, rubbery, moist, rough, pretty, pointy leaves, curly petals, wet. The soil was a little dry and the temperature was 61.2 degrees.
