Out of 40 tulips, 34 had sprouted. That was 85%. The colors of the leaves were red, green, and some were a darkish, purple color. The size of the sprouts minimum heigh was 1 1/2 cm. and went to a maximum height of 7 cm., for a range of 5 1/2 cm.. Some of the leaf sprouts were opened really wide, but others were closed tight. The textures of the leaves were smooth with no veins that we could see. The air temperature was 48 degrees and the ground was 42 degrees. It was cloudy and cold.
