While hiking in a local stream valley, came across several lovely drifts of snowdrops on landscaped hillside. Closer to the stream, in a boggy area, found dozens of skunk cabbage flowers poking up through the mire. The trees were resplendent with beauty as well, as cardinals, song sparrows and Carolina wrens serenaded us with their sweet songs. It was so refreshing to be out and getting our first real taste of spring along with some exercise and fresh air!
