All of my butterfly milkweed in my yard froze to the ground this winter. Many of the butterfly milkweed plants are sprouting new leaves at the base of the plants. These new leaves are about 2 or 3 inches tall. I also planted 3 new flowering butterfly milkweed plants I bought from a nearby Houston Garden Center a week or two ago.
