March 13
We visited our two gardens at Coker Wimberly Elementary today and approximately 75% of the tulips have emerged and bloomed in the most southern bed. We think that this bed has a little more wind protection because the other bed which is closer to the end of the building, the tulips have emerged but are not yet blooming. The tulips are so pretty! We look forward to seeing the tulips in our other bed blooming in a few days.

Three of the six tulips planted by our three home schoolers have bloomed. All six have emerged. They are anxiously awaiting for all of them to bloom and have had such fun observing them. They have been measuring them while they wait for them to bloom.

We are so proud of our two tulip beds at Coker Wimberly Elementary School. It looks like at least 75 - 80% of the bulbs emerged and bloomed. They look sooooo pretty! We had a period of warm spring like weather and then last week it got cooler again. We had a frost but our tulips are still blooming. We also made noise makers to hang above our beds to keep wildlife from "munching" on our flowers. From our three home schoolers: out of the six bulbs planted, five emerged and bloomed. We measured them as they emerged, anxiously awaiting the blooms.
