I noticed the robin hopping on the ground in my front yard. I was walking my two dogs and neither the robin nor they seemed to notice each other. The robin was focused on a small indentation in the dirt. As we passed, it hopped away and started chirping, still on the ground. I then passed a second robin a few yards later. It was quiet but also on the ground. Since this is our first warm day, I think the ground may have thawed a bit and they were looking for worms.
