Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 03/16/2011

Number: 1

The excitement quickly spread at recess today. "We found a red bloom just starting," reported two boys in our class. It was, of course, in the boys' garden, which made them doubly pleased. Happily, however, three girls soon arrived at the edge of the gazebo and reported they could see the red tip of a bloom that they were certain would "pop" by this afternoon in the girls' garden. All were particularly excited to discover their gardens had beaten the bloom date from the past two year by four whole days. It does appear that something has been nibbling the leaves, so the students are hoping the muncher doesn't like red!!
