All Other Signs of Spring

I observed an adult female Pileated Woodpecker eating insects on my neighbor's old oak tree and a telephone pole. Her mate was no where to be seen and I did not hear him calling either. However, I have no doubts that he was not far away. She is a beauty, but her mate is even more so with his large, fetching mohawk!
