I have only rarely seen robins since moving to Nevada and usually 1 or 2 for a few minutes. Today there were at least 20 in my yard (desert stone landscape and
pyracantha bushes with bright red berries) and they stayed all day. More males than females as far as I could tell. I picked some pyracantha berries from my courtyard and tossed them into the back and the birds immediately came up and helped themselves. They almost acted starved. Even though they stayed all day, they appeared to be watching and waiting for something. All but one looked very healthy and colors were vibrant. One had a sore foot that he kept lifted.
