20+or-robins, majority male, in my yard eating pryacantha berries, from early morning until just about sundown. They appeared to be starving, watchful and alert. I didn't hear a single robin song the whole day. I picked additional berries from the front of my yard and put them out in the back, and the robins devoured them too.
It is a desert landscape of stones and no worms. Fascinating to watch them. One had a sore foot, kept it lifted the whole time. Never heard the term "wave" of robins, so reported my sighting earlier under "first seen." Also had quail, doves, few pesky pigeons, juncos, red breasted finches and sparrows on the ground with the robins.
Fun!
