I was sitting out at the maple syrup fire this afternoon just before supper looking and listening to the sounds of spring...and there it was... the first turkey vulture of the spring - and then there were 3 more... YIPPEE... they are back, soaring so gracefully over the fields. there is a colony that nests nearby and they love to soar in the thermals over the highway. it was a cold and windy day with the promise of several cm of snow overnight and tomorrow... poor birdies!!
