We planted 107 bulbs and as of today, March 24, 35 have bloomed. The tallest tulip plant is 8 inches tall. The students were interested that not all bloomed at the same time and at the same rate. We discussed variability within a species of a living things and we discussed the variables in the garden itself: Did everyone plant at exactly the same depth? WERre some areas slightly sloped?
