Our tulip test garden was still surrounded by snow but we were feeling lucky on St. Patrick's Day and dug under the hay blanket to find two of our fifty shoots up about 1-3 inches. We re-covered them as snow was predicted. This morning they were under 5 inches of wet slush. We will check again after our spring break.
