Our tulips emerged while we were on spring break. They had not emerged before we left school (3/11/11), and upon our return (3/28/11) the tallest tulips in the sunnier location were 9 cm tall, and the tallest tulips in the shadier location were 6.5 cm tall. Since we had to type in a specific date, we estimated that they emerged around the middle of our break, around 3/21/11.

All of the bulbs we planted came up. They looked healthy, although some of the leaves had nibble munches taken out of them.
