As I was leaving Byram Lakes School in Stanhope, NJ I pass by a small pond. I watched a Great Blue Heron land on the pond and seem to settle in to hunt for food. With snow still around the edges and some still predicted for the next few days, it was a welcome sight that spring is on the way.
