First of all, we never see loons here but we have had vey unusual weather in the past few days. Temps in the 70s followed by a tornado followed by a snowstorm and temps in the 20s. Two loons were spotted on Blue Lake near Decatur, NE last evening on our way home. They were near some snows and blues. We spend summers in Canada and love our loons so we were so surprised to see them here. It was a first!
