Sadly and happily the last of the two baby hummers left the nest yesterday. Was very excited that it happened while I was in the yard. He/she had been sitting on the edge of the nest for much of the day. While I was out there . . . giving much space of course . . . I asked the hummer if s/he was ready to fly. Moments later that's what s/he did. This morning I found both baby birds sitting on branches of the tree very close to each other.
