We had the construction of a new wing to our school which put a new cafeteria on our large well established outdoor classroom, so we've now replanted grasses and flowering plants(13 different species) last fall in another location in the central courtyard of our school. We are waiting anxiously to see what plants come up this spring especially the milkweed and other plants that will attract monarch butterflies. We also have a small concrete pond watering station. Luckily for my class the pond and the outdoor classroom are right outside of our window so we can observe every day what's happening in the outdoor classroom. Hopefully all of the plants will come up that we planted. Wish us luck. When it's done it will be a large area on our school property that will be enjoyed by the community.
