sitting outside in the warm spring sun - flies are buzzing around the deck this morning...and then I heard that sweet song that cheers my heart- my phoebe is back again!! he/she is flying around the basswood trees up near the bunkie while I am boiling sap, singing that phoe-be song that tells me spring is here. we are supposed to have snow tomorrow - hope she gets a good feeding of insects today! sap is running so well today- 3and a half barrels (the most of the season). it smells like spring, sounds like spring, and the ground is drying up - it looks like spring in madoc!
