We have had a nest on our porch and this will be their 4th year. The male arrived on the 1st of April last year, also a weekend, with the female a day or two behind. We have just observed the male this afternoon. He appears to be in much better shape this year - he was quite lean and exhausted last year, but he seems heavier and more energetic this year.
