Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/02/2011

Number: 1

I have been on the lookout for the first hummingbird for a couple of weeks now. It finally happened today around noon. I did not get a good look to see if it was male or female as I announced that I saw a hummingbird and scared it off the feeder. Ground and woodland phlox are blooming currently in my yard while columbine and azaleas are a day or two away. It was a very windy day with a high in the lower 60's. The honeysuckle is blooming at school so we should have visitors there soon too.
