Saw my first Monarch at office where I work. I was greeted with fluttering butterfly when I stepped out. Then it flew near my car and nectared on clover. I couldn't get camera out fast enough. No eggs at flagpole garden.
So, I saw two Monarchs today!!!! I was only outside for brief moments and monarchs were there.
Arrived home and found more eggs on plants.
Some caterpillars seemed to have disappeared. No aphids or assassin bugs. I did find ANTS. I'm putting some more grits out and some ANT BAIT. I hope the caterpillars have just moved to bushier parts of plant.
I may bring in some caterpillars so I least get some successes this spring.
