Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/22/2011

Number: 1

First sighting of robins, not flocks but just a few, couples, No singing heard even now, the 1st week in April. Filled the bird bath and a pair have been using that and eating last year's red current berries. Still no singing in the morning though. Think they might be returning from last year. Went right for the bird bath, I filled it and they are hanging around. We had 74 degree temperatures 2 days ago and snow yesterday. There are doves and sparrows or finches at the bath also. Doves have been here for about 6 weeks. We are at 5000 feet altitude. Seems late and did not see the flights I usually see earlier in the spring, but the robins are back now. So happy to see them. They always roost here and raise their babies.
