One day last week and this past Sunday 4/03, one Blk Chin or Ruby quickly eats at the feeder and flies away to the open field next door in the early a.m. to Mesquite trees before sunrise @ 7 am or a little before. Petunias (red) and other flowers out. Put out a plastic red table cloth on picnic table in yard to attract them (hint from web search). Didn't do this, but could work if you have a picnic table.
