I'm a certified Monarch Waystation, with enough milkweed and flowers to keep everyone happy. I'm raising 4 new types of milkweed now, in the hopes that it will take hold, be successful and reappear in years to come. Currently have "Common" and "Tropical" milkweed, and hope to add these new ones. Also raising flowers for the butterflies, with a new species of bee balm this year. Summer is such a magical time when I'm in the milkweed garden and it's blooming. The fragrance is delicious and the sights of butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies and hummingbirds flitting through around me as I collect monarch eggs is one of my favorite lifetime experiences.
