The average number of monarchs throughout Monterey County decreased this week, with fewer than 10 monarchs at all sites but Pacific Grove. The average number of monarchs counted at the Pacific Grove Sanctuary was 1,175. There was rain and wind during counts at the Sanctuary, but clear skies and cool to moderate temperatures for all other counts.
