Counts were conducted from October 28-November 1. There were many cluster bursts at Halcyon during the first attempt to count and although beautiful, warranted a second count. There was either cold/foggy mornings or warm/sunny mornings, ending with the hot Santa Ana winds. The number of monarchs counted continues to rise. Pismo was counted at 10,000 on Sunday 31 Oct. Large dense clusters have been found at most sites.
