Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/05/2011

Number: 1

Submitted by Don Davis:

Pat Kerr of Bruce Mines, Ontario reports the following:

Four male red winged back birds arrived with the snow a couple days ago (April 5/11). They stayed huddled between the feeder and the cedars for a full day but are gone on now. The ice is breaking up under the bridge to the island but the bay and inland lakes are still covered. kerrpad@sympatico.ca
