Bald Eagle

Date: 04/08/2011

Number: 1

I was driving kids to school about 7:15CST AM when a white speck caught my eye on the side of the road. I could not believe the lord had graced me with this beatuiful sight.
A bald eagle was sitting on a limb in a creek below the bluff of the road. The elevation of the limb put the eagle equal to the elevation of the road. I stopped and tried to get a picture of the bird with my cell phone camera. The bird had been feeding on red horse fish migrating up creek. The eagle had a tiny sliver of black feathers on top of his head. The eagle was huge! I only had maybe 50 to 90 seconds before he flew to a higher tree top where I was unable to observe as well. Last year I saw two eagles in the lake bed after the winter draw down. They were sitting on a stump.
