We were very excited on Friday! When we went out on the playground we saw a robin in one of the trees. He flew off, but we could still hear his pretty song from time to time, so he stayed close by.
On Friday April 1st, we had a huge snowstorm in Miramichi that brought us 30 cm of snow or 11 inches. We were starting to think that spring would never come and it would be too cold for the robins. The temperatures did get a little warmer and the snow is beginning to melt now. We still have lots on our playground, but it is not up to the fence anymore. The ice is also starting to melt in the river and it is opening up.
We will be listening and looking for more robins as we are out on the playground.
