Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/11/2011

Number: 1

I was out for a drive along my favourite country road just south of town, just above the US border, where I usually park and read my book (my little slice of quiet heaven). As I looked up over the farmers field next to the Little Campbell River, I noticed a pair of Barn Swallows weaving and darting above the breeze swept grass. They stayed close by for another twenty minutes or so before moving further along the winding river.Yes spring has arrived and it made my heart sing!
