Today we counted 76 emerged tulips. Most of them were more than 10 cm tall. We saw green leaves with a touch of red on the inside, and red around the leaves. The leaves are getting bigger. Some of the emerged tulips look like they are getting eaten or were damaged from the snow or hail. We think that insects, deer, mice, rats, chipmunks, squirrels, or birds may be eating the leaves.
