Good afternoon fellow bird watchers,I have started putting in my hummer garden.Salvia greggii Wild thing,Mesa purple, farinacea Velocity blue, and coccinea Coral Nymph. Also lantana Cherry Sunrise. The chipping sparrows are back. Most of the slate juncos have left. All the woodpeckers have been coming to the suet, even had a red-shafted flicker(female),might even have been a hybrid.Have had jelly out for a couple of weeks.Robins can't get enough of it.One robin(female) has scaleys on her legs.I see a lot of birds with leg or bill defects. Most of them seem to adept.Good birding and gardening.
