This is the first Monarch chrysalis to be observed in USDA/ARS/SPA People's Garden in College Station.
It was affixed to the back of a bench stting within the garden. The bench was brown so the chrysalis was easily visible and not at all camouflaged. This is perhaps why a second chrsalis beside it had been eaten by something.
