Ron Tozer, retired naturalist from Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, reports that on April 14/11, the first common loon was spotted in the park. rtozer@vianet.ca

Ron further reports that moose are regularly being seen in wet areas along Hwy. 60 that transverses the southern part of the park. The moose are licking road sale.
